We took a road trip up to Northern CA. Our first stop was at Mondavi.
After an afternoon in wine country, we headed down to SF. He drove me to Marin Headland but we got there early. (He wanted to propose at sunset.) I was starting to suspect something because he was SO nervous! To stall, he took me around to explore. We went to check out this creepy, abandoned (or so we thought) building. After hiking up to the building, I could see our car parked down below. I jokingly said, "Look, it's your car! Wouldn't that be funny if it just suddenly drove away?" His heart nearly stopped because he had kept the ring in the car, which I had no idea.
He realized that the fog wasn't going away and that there would be no sunset, so he took me to the proposal location. Isn't the view beautiful?!
Our initials & date of engagement carved into the bench at the proposal location. hehe, how high school, eh?
And here's the ring that he proposed with! Without the wedding band, of course.
